The FLIR Patrol IR is a new, low-cost, compact "pan-and-tilt" Thermal Imaging System engineered for law enforcement applications.
Thermal Imaging is a powerful tool in Law Enforcement because suspects can't hide their heat. The FLIR Patrol IR System is ideally suited to vehicle installations with its 360 degree viewing capability. See suspects and their activity in total darkness without revealing your position using the same technology as the U.S. Military. The Thermal Imaging is a passive technology, so suspects don’t know that you can see them. The FLIR Patrol IR reveals subtle temperature differences making it difficult for suspects to camouflage their heat signature.
