The
AN/PVS-22 Universal Night
Sight™ (UNS™) is a
high-resolution Clip-on
Night Vision Device that
mounts on any MIL-STD-1913
rail interface in front of
an existing scope, adding
night vision capabilities to
daytime target acquisition
platforms.
The
Universal Night Sight™
(UNS™) utilizes a full
MIL-SPEC Gen 3 (AutoGated
pinnacle) image intensifier
tube, a fast f/1.15
catadioptric lens for a
brighter and sharper image
in starlight, and patented
permanent Boresight
alignment technology.
UNS is
installed, operated, and
removed without tools and
without affecting Boresight
(permanent Boresight
alignment). The unit can be
mounted on a spotting scope
for long range observation,
hand-held as a Night
Observation Device (NOD), or
used in other night-time
operations requiring night
vision capabilities. UNS is
optimized for medium-range
sniper weapons, assault
rifles and machine guns
including the MK11, M16,
SCAR-H, M240 & 300 Win Mag
and is effective on all
weapons from carbines to .50
caliber semi-automatic
sniper rifles.
The UNS is manufactured
with the highest quality Gen
III Pinnacle, American Made
Image intensifiers and is
only available for U.S.

ITT Pinnacle™ Image Intensifier Tubes
Night vision units with the AutoGated or AG designation
use ITT Pinnacle™ Image Intensifier tubes. The industry leading ITT
Pinnacle™ image tubes utilize a gated power supply providing truly
outstanding performance in high-light or light-polluted areas, such
as urban environments. The Pinnacle™ tube with gated power supply
minimizes any “halo” effects. “Halo” is often associated with using
night vision devices in an urban area where random street lights are
often an issue with early Generation Night Vision devices. Night
Vision units with Pinnacle™ tubes have a typical resolution of
64-72lp/mm and a typical signal to noise ratio of 24. All night
vision devices utilizing Pinnacle™ Image Intensifier tubes come with
ITT data record sheet. Units with Pinnacle™ tubes are not available
for export. A signed export compliance and end use statement is
required prior to shipping of these units.
