The Recon 550 is one of the most compact and unique digital night vision devices available in the market. The Recon 550 features high light gathering capacity (F/d = 1.0). The Recon features a two-tone LED indicator, lit green when the unit is on, and red when the night infrared light is active. The moderate intensity of the LED indicator will not illuminate the observer.

A Brightness Adjustment Wheel allows you to control the brightness of the LCD screen's glow to preserve your night vision. An LCD color button controls the color of the screen glow and also activates the contrast feature.

 Pulsar 5x50mm Digisight Recon 550 Digital Night Vision Scope 78021 is a durable digital Night Vision scope from Pulsar featuring a built-in infrared illuminator. The Digisight Recon 550 is outfitted with a five-lens eyepiece to minimize distortion on the edges of the field of view and increase sharpness and contrast of the image. The soft rubber eyecup conceals the light emission from the Pulsar Night Vision tube, permitting the user of the digital night vision scope to remain in darkness. The built-in infrared light takes care of close-range illumination when natural lighting is not enough; for different lighting needs, just mount accessories as required. The Pulsar Recon Night Vision Scope is equipped with a mount fitting combining a 1/4" tripod mounting socket and a 7/8" Weaver scope mount rail, for attaching a wide variety of lights.

The Recon 550R has a specially design mount combining Weaver and 1/4 inch standards to affix various accessories. The Recon 550R has four working modes of the display - black and white, green (regular color for NV), red (reduces eye strain) and enhanced contrast mode.
